How Holder's Watch works
1. You add a public address
You give a wallet a name and paste its public address. A public address is already visible to anyone on the blockchain, so sharing it with us gives us nothing we couldn't already see. We never need your recovery phrase, private keys or a signature, and we never ask you to connect a wallet.
2. We find the tokens you hold
We look up the tokens held at that address using a blockchain data provider, then match each one to its listing with our market data provider so we can monitor it. You can refresh a wallet's balances at any time from its page; we also refresh them on a rolling schedule.
We currently monitor addresses on:
- Ethereum (ETH / ERC-20)
- BNB Smart Chain (BNB / BEP-20)
- Polygon (POL / ERC-20)
- Arbitrum One (ETH / ERC-20)
You can also save Solana addresses, but we don't detect balances or raise alerts for them yet.
3. We check each token for three things
Contract migrations
Projects sometimes move their token to a new smart contract. Tokens on exchanges are usually moved for you, but tokens in your own wallet can be left on the old contract, and a claim window may close. We compare the contract you hold with the project's current contract on each chain. If they differ, we raise an alert.
Delistings
If a token stops being listed by our market data provider, that usually means it has lost its markets or the project has shut down. We raise an alert when a token we were tracking is no longer listed.
Dormant projects
We flag a project as dormant when it has had no code commits in the last four weeks and less than $1,000 of trading in a day. We only flag it when both figures are actually reported: a project with no public code repository is never marked dormant just because the data is missing. A quiet month is a warning sign, not proof, so we describe these with medium confidence.
4. You get an alert
Each detection appears in your dashboard and opens a case file with what we found and a suggested next step. We also email you, as long as you've confirmed your email address and left email alerts turned on in settings.
What we don't do
- We don't send price alerts or trading signals.
- We can't move, freeze or recover tokens, and we never hold funds.
- We don't monitor legal or regulatory news.
- We don't give financial, investment or legal advice.
An alert is a prompt to check the project's official channels, not a recommendation. Always verify a migration through the project's own announcements, and never use a migration link someone sends you directly.
